CHARLOTTE, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — A man has been found guilty of a hit-and-run that killed 17-year-old Maniche Wilson in northwest Charlotte.
Just before 10:40 a.m. on Feb. 17, 2020, police responded to the 6400 block of Old Plank Road at the intersection of Almora Drive, where a 2014 Ford F-150 collided with a 2002 Honda Accord.

The Honda, driven by Wilson, was stopped at the stop sign on Almora Drive waiting to turn left onto Old Plank Road. The Ford, driven by Michael Paul Himes, was traveling down Old Plank Road above the speed limit when the Honda pulled out into the intersection into the path of the Ford.
Himes was driving approximately 60 mph in a 35 mph zone when he collided with the driver's side door of
