LINCOLN, Neb. ( Nebraska Examiner ) - Faculty at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln are set to consider a “no confidence” vote in Chancellor Rodney Bennett at a Nov. 18 special meeting as Bennett seeks to finalize up to $27.5 million in budget cuts.
Elizabeth Lewis, a professor in the Department of Teaching, Learning and Teacher Education, unveiled the emergency motion against Bennett at a UNL Faculty Senate meeting Tuesday. The budget cut process is based on a new set of academic program evaluations and data many faculty have questioned.
