LINCOLN, Neb. — A local museum at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln is offering free admission to people who qualify through the “Museums for All” program.

“Museums for All” is a national program where participating museums reduce the price of admission for people on SNAP. Morrill Hall has been a part of it since the COVID pandemic in 2020 and also accepts WIC.

In order to receive the discount, visitors need to show their SNAP or WIC card and their photo ID.

Those involved with the museum say every little bit of money saved goes a long way.

“We wanted to ensure that they had access to the wonderful science that occurs here, and not be trying to do a trade-off between food and the fun of a visit,” said Susan Weller, director of the University of Nebraska State Museum at Morrill Hall.
