LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - Warme temperatures are set to headline the forecast for Thursday and Friday - but big changes head our way this weekend with the coldest air of the season thus far descending on the state. We’re also keeping a close eye on a chance for some parts of the state to see a wintry mix of light rain and snow Saturday evening into Saturday night.

Tonight though, the weather remains quiet with mostly clear skies through Wednesday evening. Look for increasing cloud cover and warmer temperatures into the day on Thursday. By the afternoon, partly to mostly cloudy skies are expected for most of the viewing area with south and southwest winds that could be a bit on the breezy side at times.
