SPARTANBURG, S.C. (WSPA) - A three-year agreement has been reached between Spartanburg Regional Healthcare and UnitedHealthcare.

The agreement was announced Wednesday, following a contract dispute in August and several extensions that had left UnitedHealthcare members unsure about their continued coverage at Spartanburg Regional.

Spartanburg Regional said the agreement allows the two organizations to work together to "enhance health outcomes for patients covered under UnitedHealthcare's commercial, Medicare, and Exchange plans."

The contract was originally set to expire on October 14, but was extended multiple times while the two worked to finalize a more long-term deal.
