CHESTER, S.C. (WBTV) - Chester County students are back in school after a lockdown on Friday, after police say a man crashed his vehicle in a wooded area near the district’s Chester Park Complex and allegedly broke a classroom window and grabbed a student.

Students were out on Monday while the district reviewed with its crisis management team. Chester County Schools said it’s continuing to evaluate safety protocols and is working with local law enforcement.

One mom, Crystal Zeruth, says all three of her kids were part of the lockdown. She said she never expected something like that to happen at the elementary school.

“They’ve had calls and everything like for the high school and stuff, but as far as elementary school, I honestly never would’ve thought that that would ever happen,” Zer
