Alerts Issued for Our Region • WIND ADVISORY in effect until 1 AM Thursday for Pocahontas County. Wind gusts up to 50 mph could cause a few power outages.

Tonight features partly cloudy skies increasing in cloud cover as the evening progresses. A stray isolated shower or two is possible in our northern counties up into the mountains overnight, mainly before midnight, with the passing of a cold front, which will cool us off for Thursday. A southerly breeze will switch to coming from the west and will still gust occasionally above 25 mph. Lows will drop into the mid 30s.

Thursday provides more sunshine with high pressure overhead but the air behind Wednesday's cold front will be colder, and so we'll see highs dip back into the low to mid 50s with a light northerly breeze.
