Tonight, it will be clear, but it won't be as cold, with lows in the lower to upper 40s.

On Thursday, high pressure remains east of Alabama, bringing in mild southerly winds. Expect more sunshine with highs in the mid to upper 70s. Thursday night will be warmer with a clear sky and lows in the upper 40s to lower 50s.

The weather pattern changes on Friday as a trough pushes a cold front into the state from the northwest. It will be partly cloudy and mild, with scattered showers and storms developing in the afternoon.

SPC has placed all of Central Alabama in a Level 1/5 Marginal Risk for a few severe storms. The threat would be gusty winds. Highs will be in the mid-70s. The cold front will cross Alabama on Friday night, bringing more scattered
