Southeastern Manitoba could see its first real shot of snow for the season tomorrow.

Natalie Hasell with Environment Canada says there are a few different systems that are coming through the Prairies, and one of them is making its way to the Red River Valley.

Hasell says Steinbach and area can expect rain Thursday morning, and then rain mixed with snow late in the afternoon. She notes rainfall totals will be five to 10 millimetres, and says whatever snow falls will likely melt on contact.

"I don't think we are going to get enough snow in the overnight period for any accumulation to occur," she points out.

Thursday's high is five degrees, and with an overnight low of -5, Hasell says this could impact road conditions.

"Road conditions could be a bit awkward, greasy, difficult," she says
