LINCOLN — Brian Kruse announced his resignation Wednesday as Douglas County election commissioner after 10 years in the role.

Kruse will remain in the post through the end of 2025. His last day is Jan. 9, according to a press release.

“I appreciate the trust that Governors Ricketts and Pillen have placed in me leading the Douglas County Election Commission,” Kruse said in the press release. “It has been an honor and privilege for the last decade to serve the voters of Douglas County in administering fair, accurate, secure and impartial elections.”
