JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — For the first time, we heard from new Jacksonville Jaguars Wide Receiver Jakobi Meyers after joining the team through a recent trade with the Las Vegas Raiders.

The Jaguars sent fourth and sixth-round picks in next year’s NFL Draft to acquire Meyers, who brings plenty of experience and versatility to Jacksonville’s offense.

Meyers spent time with both the Patriots and the Raiders, catching passes from Tom Brady early in his career. Before becoming an NFL wideout, Meyers actually played quarterback in high school, giving him a strong understanding of the game from both sides of the ball.

He also already has a great relationship with Jaguars receivers coach Edgar Bennett, which should help him adjust quickly to his new team.
