MISENHEIMER — Two former Carson runners played key roles as Pfeiffer dominated the USA South Men’s Cross Country Championships held over the weekend.
Pfeiffer turned in a 1-2-3-4-5 finish for a perfect score of 15.
Carson Grad Bricen Burleson, a sophomore, won the race. He completed the 8K event in 25:05.
Carson grad Jorge Clemente-Garcia placed third in 25:14.
Sawyer Helms, the USA South Runner of the Year, was second in 25:14.
Cannon Powell and Alim Coleman completed the sweep.
Clemente-Garcia was the Freshman of the Year. Pfeiffer’s Bob Marchinko was voted Coach of the Year.

Pfeiffer’s women finished third in the team scoring for a 6K.
Three Rowan runners finished in the top 20 in the meet to help the Falcons.
