CALCASIEU PARISH, La. (KPLC) - Some Calcasieu Parish voters will be voting on a couple of proposed bonds for Starks and Sulphur High Schools.
We spoke with the school principals and CPSB Superintendent Jason VanMetre to find out what you need to know before you hit the polls on Nov. 15.
The first proposed bond covers Starks High School.
“Our last bond election was completed in the early 90s, so it’s been a while. We’re looking at doing a remodel of some of our academic areas that have yet to be remodeled over the last 25 years,” Jeff Sanders, Principal of Starks High School, said..
Sanders said these improvements would go to various areas around the school, like the gym, various parking lots, ball fields, and more.
