It was a busy day for job seekers and businesses looking for new employees at the job fair. There were about 115 booths at the Alaska Airlines Center, featuring businesses ranging from retail to law enforcement to construction. Steve Eager is a veteran of the Army and is seeking a job for added financial security. "I'm worried about what's happening right now. What's going to happen to my Social Security, my VA disability benefits?" said Eager. His case manager with the Alaska Department of Labor, Kelsey Richards, shared that job fairs like this are a great way to connect folks with employers. "Just grateful there's an opportunity for our job seekers and our employers to kind of meet in the middle, a middle ground instead of just in an interview kind of atmosphere."
