For the first time, the Indigenous Leadership Symposium at the University of Alaska Anchorage is open to the public, offering a chance to learn from Alaska Native leaders and their community-focused projects.
The annual event, now in its 10th year, aims to inspire the next generation by highlighting leadership, service, and innovative projects within Alaska Native communities. Your Alaska Link spotted middle and high school students attending, eager to explore ideas for their own projects.
“It's been really great just to see, especially the young people come and hang out and see what different kinds of projects they could do and that they can use their imaginations and they can do,” said Jennifer Adams, UAF Assistant Professor.
