Minnesota Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards has been cleared to return to the floor for Wednesday’s matchup against the New York Knicks ( 7:30 ET, ESPN ), the team announced.

Edwards suffered a strained right hamstring on Oct. 26 and was expected to miss two weeks of action. He was cleared to resume on-court activities on Monday.

Edwards underwent an MRI exam last week that revealed the strain, after he exited early in the first quarter of the Wolves’ home opener with tightness in his right hamstring.

This season, Edwards is averaging 25.7 points, 4.0 rebounds and 2.0 assists while shooting 51.9% overall and 47.4% on 3-pointers.

Information from The Associated Press was used in this report.
