CLEVELAND (AP) — Cavaliers point guard Darius Garland was in the starting lineup for his season debut on Wednesday against the Philadelphia 76ers.
The two-time All-Star finished with eight points and four assists, against three turnovers, as the Cavaliers beat the 76ers , 132-121. He shot 3-for-11 from the floor (2-7 3PM) in 26 minutes.
Garland had surgery on his injured big toe that hampered him during the playoffs in early June. He missed Cleveland’s first seven games.
The 6-foot-1 guard averaged 20.6 points and 6.7 assists during the regular season. He missed the final two games of the regular season and four games during the playoffs with the turf toe injury.
DeAndre Hunter missed Wednesday’s game because of an illness.
