MEIGS COUNTY, Ohio (WSAZ) - Election Day is over and with failed levies across Ohio, schools are looking for solutions.
Eastern Local Schools is just one district finding ways to get funding for renovations.
The proposed tax would have funded renovations including a new roof, new district-wide sprinkler systems, security and safety improvements -- just to name a few.
This is the third time the schools have proposed tax increases for renovations during the past year.
Now that the levy failed, the district is forced to consider other options.
Superintendent Nick Dettwiller said the district is talking with their financial advisor to figure out what to do next.
