EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) -- Some students in Evansville got a big surprise during the annual Cops Connecting with Kids program.

The program made a stop at Lincoln Elementary on Wednesday morning. Four boys and four girls from 7th and 8th grade were announced in front of their classmates and surprised family members as they received their trips to Disney World.

The students were picked based on how well they perform in the classroom by achieving excellence, taking responsibility and showing respect. Lincoln is just one of many stops the program will be making in the Tri-State this week.

This year, the program plans on taking more than 60 students in Evansville to Disney along with students from Henderson and Princeton. In January, Cops Connecting with Kids will embark on their 12th trip t
