COLUMBUS, Ohio — A man who is at the center of what Columbus Humane calls an animal cruelty investigation pleaded not guilty on Wednesday.
It's all tied to this security video that was posted to social media by an animal rescue.
The video was taken on Oct. 22 and in it, someone can be seen picking up a dog by its scruff and slamming it to the ground.

Court records show that Columbus Humane claims it was the man who is now charged in this case and his dog, Karma, in the video.
Karma was removed from the home by Columbus Humane a week later on Oct. 29.
That man is now facing two misdemeanor charges of prohibitions concerning companion animals.
If he's found guilty, Judge Stephanie Mingo said he could face several months of jail time and a fine.
