GREER, S.C. (WSPA) - The BMW Plant Group in Spartanburg hosted its first BMW Manufacturing Career Day for middle and high school students across the Upstate.
Over 1,200 students from 28 schools in Cherokee, Greenville, and Spartanburg counties visited the BMW Technical Training Center for a full day of learning.
Students watched robotics demonstrations, toured labs with current associates, and learned about the BMW Scholars Apprenticeship program.
The Scholars Program is a two-year apprenticeship program where BMW partners with local technical colleges, and students in manufacturing-related degrees attend class full-time while working part-time at BMW Manufacturing Co., LLC.
