CLOVIS, N.M. (KAMR/KCIT) — The Clovis Police Department released information regarding a fire that happened near a company on Wednesday in South Clovis.

According to CPD, at around 7:04 p.m. on Nov. 4, dispatch received a call about a house at 4th and Ash Street being on fire. After the caller drove near the scene, CPD said the caller was then able to confirm that wood crates near the storage company were on fire.

Clovis Fire, along with Emergency Medical Services and Clovis Police, responded to the location and discovered that storage crates and an electrical pole were on fire.

Officials detailed that police blocked off intersections for CFD to access various hydrants in the area. CFD gained control of the fire and is continuing to monitor the large storage building for additional fire
