YAZOO COUNTY, Miss. (WJTV) - Multiple agencies have responded to a chemical leak at a Yazoo County plant.

According to Scott Simmons, MEMA Chief Communications Officer, the incident occurred at CF Industries, Inc., on November 5, 2025, around 4:25 p.m.

Simmons said there is a chemical leak at the plant, and it could be an ammonia leak. The Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality (MDEQ) is responding to the scene.

The Yazoo Herald reported that Renshaw and Generrette Road residents have been told to evacuated.
