ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. —

A man was charged in Roswell for a murder that took place nearly four years ago due to some additional forensic testing that took place last month.

Miguel Angel Ramirez-Gallegos, 22, was arrested and charged with fatally shooting another New Mexico resident when both were teenagers.

Gallegos is also being charged with shooting at or from a motor vehicle and tampering with evidence for disposing of the gun he was believed to have used to kill David Gonzales, 18, on Dec. 26, 2021, at Saddle Creek apartments.

Officers responded to the apartments around 6:15 p.m., where they saw Gonzales lying in the parking lot and suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.
