BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) - In preparation for Veterans Day, Wreaths Across America is teaming up with other local organizations to honor the memory of veterans.

The group will be gathering on Saturday morning to commemorate deceased veterans in Bryan and College Station.

“What we do, in anticipation for families that are going to visit their loved ones, is we place flags on the graves of veterans,” said Ellen Fuller, who serves as a volunteer co-chair for the event.

Fuller says she recognizes that “a person dies twice: that physical death and then we stop saying their name.”

To help preserve the memory of those veterans, she encourages the community to join them this weekend.
