PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) -- A tornado warning issued by the National Weather Service for parts of Pacific County in southwestern Washington has expired.

Officials at NWS say just after 4:50 p.m., a severe thunderstorm near Long Beach moving at 50 mph was caught on radar with indications of rotation, meaning the severe thunderstorm was capable of producing a tornado. The warning lasted until 5:15 p.m.

There was no immediate word on whether a funnel cloud formed or a tornado touched down on Wednesday afternoon after the tornado warning expired.
