PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) – The man killed in a shooting in the Powellhurst-Gilbert neighborhood late last month has been identified, Portland police said Saturday.

The incident occurred the evening of Oct. 25, when officers responded to a reported shooting near Southeast Division Street and 142nd Avenue.

On the scene, police found a man, identified as 22-year-old Andy Nguyen, with “serious injuries,” and applied trauma first aid until paramedics arrived. Nguyen was taken to a hospital where — despite lifesaving measures — he died, authorities said.

Details surrounding what led up to the shooting are not clear.

Any possible suspect or suspects left the scene, and no immediate arrests have been made.
