NEW HAVEN, Conn. — Every year around this time, the team at Tweed- New Haven Airport – or HVN – comes together to support Connecticut Foodshare and help local families in need.

On Wednesday, HVN announced that it has partnered with a bakery located inside of the airport terminal to benefit more residents across the state during the holidays.

G Café has pledged to match HVN’s annual $5,000 holiday donation. This will bring the total donation for Connecticut Foodshare up to $10,000.

Connecticut Foodshare is a food bank that distributes food to more than 480 agency partners, including food pantries, community kitchens and shelters. The Wallingford-based nonprofit also serves over 100 mobile food pantry locations.
