The bad thing about the Gulf South Conference when it comes to football is that there are only four teams. Less games to win to make it to the postseason, but the margin for error is a lot smaller.

Valdosta State is 1-0 in conference play heading into this weekend’s regular season home finale against Delta State. A win, and next weekend’s game at West Florida will decide the GSC champ.

For the Blazers, it’s really just about taking things one week at a time. Head coach Graham Craig said he feels his team is really starting to peak at the right time, now it’s about focusing on the Statesman for Saturday.
