ALEXANDRIA, Ind. — Amanda Davis has forgotten what it’s like to turn on her sink to wash her hands or scrub dishes with ease. It’s been 72 days since she was able to do just that.
It’s not just her sink. Her shower and laundry machines run dry. Her toilet has to be forcefully flushed with buckets of water.
She and others at the Alexandria Mobile Home Park have been without running water since August.
“Oh, I’m going to cry,” Davis said. “I’m ready. I’m ready for it to be back on.”
Finally, the end could be in sight.
Park Place Communities, a company based in Arizona, manages the mobile home community. Michael and Kayla Ayala are the owners and operators of the property.
Tenants received an email from the Arizona-based company on Nov. 1 saying the park will be coming under new ownershi
