LUBBOCK, Texas- Ivan Ortiz recently married his wife Maddie back in February. Ortiz has also been named the official barber for the Texas Tech football team and staff. This life is everything he could have dreamed of for him, his wife and their three-year-old son Ivan Jr. All of this would change on October 16 when Ortiz got a phone call that would change his life forever.

"On October 16 at 2:45 a.m. I received a phone call from the Lubbock Police Department, and they informed me that Maddie was involved in a car accident...she was unresponsive and on her way to UMC. I didn't know what to think at the time because I had just talked to her," Ortiz said.
