LUBBOCK, Texas -- For many, the things that make a coffee shop good often have a lot to do with the vibe than just their cup of joe. One local spot seems to have that down after being voted the Best Independent Coffee Shop by USA Today for the second year in a row.

“Coffee in Lubbock is surprisingly cool and good, so we, we kind of say it's sometimes like an oasis for coffee,” described Randall Jackson, co-owner of Monomyth Coffee.

Randall and his brother, Trenton Jackson, opened Monomyth back in 2019. However, the pair said their passion for coffee began about five years before that. While perfecting the craft of coffee is a big part of the business, Randall told Everythinglubbock.com hospitality is their main focus.
