LUBBOCK, Texas -- When ESPN’s College GameDay rolled into Lubbock back in 2008, Jason and Jessie Ann Lentz were among the thousands of Texas Tech fans packed into the crowd, waving signs and cheering as the Red Raiders prepared for their unforgettable win over Texas.
They were young alumni at the time season ticket holders from Littlefield and determined not to miss a moment of one of the biggest days in Tech football history.
“We got here around 6:30 that morning,” Jason said. “We stayed all day, went to the game that night, and of course saw that famous pass from Graham Harrell to Michael Crabtree. We were part of the madness.”
But the Lentz family wasn’t just there as fans. They were there as a growing family.
