LOUISVILLE, Ky. (KNWA/KFTA) — Just hours before a plane crash at a Louisville airport that has now left a dozen dead and nearly 20 injured, a UPS pilot from Northwest Arkansas had flown in.

Tim Wyler from Elm Springs has flown with UPS for more than eight years and been a pilot for decades.

On Wednesday, KNWA's Doug Warner spoke with Wyler's wife, Tonya, at their Elm Springs home.

Tonya said the deadly crash hit close to home for them since Tim had flown into the Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport the morning before the incident.

Tim was scheduled to fly back to Northwest Arkansas; however, his flight, along with many others, was delayed. Tonya said that Tim might be able to fly out of Louisville on Thursday.
