KAUAI, Hawaii (Island News) -- ICE raids at several homes and a business on Kauai on Wednesday led to dozens of people getting arrested.

Six search warrants were conducted at homes and one business on Kauai on Wednesday, Nov. 5. 44 arrests were made as a result of the multi-agency effort.

Two of the people who were detained are suspected associates of a Venezuelan gang, the foreign terrorist organization Tren de Aragua.

Those who were arrested appeared to be migrants working for a cleaning company, Kauai County Councilmember Fern Holland said.

"We live in a very quiet area in Upper Kapahi," Holland said. "It's pretty quiet. It's rural area, and so I could hear steps in the street. So I walked outside, and I realized immediately that there was like an entire army of people. There was pr
