HONOLULU (Island News) – The suspect involved in a violent assault in Waikiki has been charged for Murder in the Second Degree.
According to police highlights, 43-year-old Piula Luavasa was charged for Murder in the Second Degree. He is currently being held at the Oahu Community Correctional Center and is being held without bail.
The initial incident occurred on Saturday, November 8, at approximately 12:18 a.m. in Waikiki when a Luavasa allegedly assaulted a 50-year-old visitor without provocation.
As a result of the incident, the 50-year-old visitor received severe head injuries. He was later pronounced dead on Wednesday night, Nov. 12.
