LIVE OAK, Fla. (WCJB) - Live Oak police say an officer who was badly hurt in an off-duty crash is back home on Wednesday.

Officials say Officer Christopher Davis crashed while driving his motorcycle last Thursday.

His recovery will likely take six to nine months because of leg injuries and concerns over blood clots.

Police say Davis will possibly undergo more surgeries.

In a social media post by the Live Oak Police Department, two ways to donate to Officer Davis can be found.
