MILFORD, Iowa (KCAU) — The Iowa Lakeside Laboratory in the Iowa Great Lakes held a groundbreaking today for their new state-of-the-art research lab.

The $6 million "Discovery and Innovation Laboratory" is the first new building to be built on the campus in 26 years.

The new facility has been in the works for eight years and will feature a 150-seat classroom and lecture hall, expanded lab space, and gathering areas for students.
