A man has been shot and killed at Metrotown in Burnaby on Wednesday evening.

Social media reports show several RCMP cruisers outside the Station Square entrance to the mega mall on the 6200-block of McKay Ave.

According to a Postmedia News source, a vehicle was later found ablaze in the Central Park area.

The Burnaby RCMP is reporting an incident in the area. There is no risk to public safety, but people are asked to avoid the area.
