The WIAA girls volleyball tournament begins Thursday morning, and several local teams are traveling to the Green Bay area.
Division 1 No. 4 seed Waunakee
The powerhouse Warriors are back at State for the 10th time overall and second time in three years. The Badger Large champs are in search of the program's fifth title, but first since 1991, according to the WIAA.
Waunakee plays Thursday at 7:30 p.m. against No. 5 Kimberly.
Division 1 No. 7 seed Verona
Verona is making its first trip to State since 2015, and playing with house money as the No. 7 seed.
