PALATKA, Fla. (WCJB) - A traffic stop due to an expired tag led to Putnam County Sheriff’s deputies finding drugs and a loaded gun.
Deputies say they pulled over Rodney Francis, 41, on Tuesday at James A. Long Elementary School in Palatka.

A K-9 alerted authorities about a possible gun in the car and officials found a loaded pistol and pills testing positive for ecstasy.
Francis is being held without bond in the Putnam County Jail for firearm possession by a convicted felon.. And drug trafficking.
