On Thursday at 2:57 a.m. an updated wind advisory was issued by the National Weather Service in effect until 8 a.m. for Northern Herkimer, Northern Warren, Northern Washington and Southeast Warren as well as Hamilton County.
The weather service says to anticipate, "Northwest winds 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 30 to 40 mph. Any gusts up to 45mph will be brief."
"Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result," comments the weather service. "Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra caution. Secure outdoor objects."
