In life, many peoples' lives run parallel ― never meeting, never crossing paths. That had been the case for Cedric Mason and Tamari Curry. Mason had been an assistant on Lakeside’s football team for the past six years as defensive line coach. Curry, on the other hand, was a burgeoning star at Washington-Wilkes.

Playing in different regions and the schools not being necessarily close to one another, Mason and Curry had no reason to meet. But every now and again, two paths can bend and intersect, curving towards the same shared fate.
