It’s disconcerting enough when foods get recalled out of abundance of caution, but things turn disturbing when those foods get linked to illness — and death.
A multistate listeria outbreak linked to precooked pasta meals — namely, Scott & Jon’s Shrimp Scampi With Linguine products — has affected two people in Hawaii, resulting in one death, according to federal officials. The outbreak has reportedly sickened at least 27 people in 18 states. Stay aware.
