Emma Conway scored four goals and assisted on a fifth for third-seeded Hoboken in its 8-1 win over 14th-seeded Secaucus in the first round of the North Jersey Section 2, Group 1 Tournament in Hoboken.
Hoboken’s victory advances it to the quarterfinal round where it will host 11th-seeded Glen Ridge, which upset sixth-seeded Belvidere with a 4-0 win to secure its spot in the quarterfinals.
Wren Napolitani also had a strong performance for Hoboken, scoring two goals of her own and assisting on one. Romane Zorea accounted for the remaining two goals while Sydney Clark recorded two assists for Hoboken (16-2-3).
Ava Illuzzi was assisted by Julia Pozo on the lone goal and Ava Krajewski made 22 saves in goal for Secaucus (7-10-1).
