CHESTERFIELD, Va. (WWBT) - Chesterfield County Police say one person is dead following a burglary Wednesday.

Chesterfield police say say crews responded to the 8800 block of Pepperidge Road around 10 p.m. on November 5 for a report of a burglary.

Once on scene, police say they found a man who had been shot. The man was taken to a local hospital where he later died.

Police say an investigation shows that the people involved knew each other and it is domestic related.

There is no ongoing threat to the community.
