WASHINGTON, D.C. (WSMV) - U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) is working to build a call center in Nashville, according to a contract document obtained by Reuters.
The Reuters report states that the call center would have a dedicated unit focused on tracking unaccompanied migrant children with the help of state and local police.
ICE is looking to create a round-the-clock facility that could handle 6,000-7,000 daily calls related to immigration enforcement, according to the document, which was posted to a government contracting website on Tuesday.
Here are instructions on how to watch WSMV4 live on various platforms.
