A man who was working as a nurse at Greenslopes Private Hospital on Brisbane’s southside has been charged with raping two female patients, both in their 80s.

The 41-year-old was arrested at his home in Riverhills on Wednesday morning and was due to reappear at Richlands Magistrates Court later this month.

The alleged rapes took place in the course of the man’s work duties, in December last year and in January 2020.

Greenslopes Private Hospital is operated by Ramsay Health Care.

Detective Senior Sergeant Rodney Watts called for anyone with further information, or interactions of a similar nature, to come forward.

“Crimes of this nature are a reprehensible breach of trust and police have zero tolerance for any person who commits such heinous criminal acts,” he said.
