PORT ANGELES — A second round of ballot counts in Clallam County has tightened several key races — though most early trends from Election Night continue to hold.
The county’s Charter Amendment to remove coroner duties from the prosecuting attorney remains on track to pass easily, now with 82 percent approval — virtually unchanged from the first count. Meanwhile, the levy lid lift for essential public services continues to trail, with 58 percent opposed and 42 percent in favor, showing no signs of a comeback.
At the Port of Port Angeles, incumbents Colleen McAleer and Steven Burke remain dominant, holding 88 and 85 percent of the vote, respectively — nearly identical to Election Night numbers.
