PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) -- A naked suspect was arrested Wednesday night after police hit him with a car to disarm him, launching a use-of-deadly-force investigation, authorities said.
Shortly before 10 p.m., Portland police said they responded to Northeast Hassalo Street after multiple reports of a man without clothing holding a handgun.
When police arrived, they couldn't find the man, but they eventually found him near Northeast Grand Avenue, where they reported hearing a shot fired.
The suspect began running, which is when police said an officer hit the man with his car, knocking him down and causing him to drop the gun.
Police said the suspect got up and continued running, where police challenged him once again, leading to the man being tased when he wouldn't cooperate.
